Grab your paddle, gloves, and trash bags for this clean-up canoe trip to Missionary Island. We’re teaming up with Toledo Metroparks and Partners for Clean Streams to remove litter from the largest island in our Scenic Maumee River. All canoeing and clean-up materials provided.
12 Volunteers Must be 12 years of age and up to participate. Not all participants will be canoeing- canoes are primarily being used as transportation of volunteers to island and collected litter. Canoe from Weirs Rapids to Missionary Island (~30 minutes) then clean-up on Missionary Island. Canoe and drop litter at Farnsworth Metropark (~15 minutes). Let the leader know if you are bringing your own paddlecraft.
